Formerly a fine country residence built in the last century for use as a hunting lodge, Greenends is now owned and managed by the Atkinson family and offers high quality self catering holiday cottages from which you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Northern Pennines.

We offer four cottages - Keepers Cottage, The Stables, The Bothy and Chestnut Cottage - and all cottages are furnished and equipped to a very high standard and provide every comfort to ensure your stay with us is as enjoyable as possible. There is car parking space at all cottages and well behaved pets are welcome.

The cottages are superbly situated, not only for the breathtaking views they command of the Nent Valley and the Northern Pennines but also ideally placed to explore the North Pennines area as well as further afield with the Lake District, Durham City, Hadrian's Wall, the Eden Valley and the Yorkshire Dales all within easy driving distance.

An added feature of Greenends and one which pleases children and adults alike is our resident herd of Alpacas, living in a field alongside the properties these are intriguing little animals to say the least.
