Route directions
From the South and West take junction 40 on the M6 and follow the A686 to Alston. On entering Alston and then take the first left at the top of the hill, the A689 to Nenthead, Stanhope and Durham. After 2.5 miles you will pass the Nent Hall Hotel on your right hand side, pass over the bridge and take the first left, follow uphill keeping right at the bend. After 1 mile Greenends is on the right hand side.

From the North and West take junction 44 on the M6 and the A69 to Newcastle. From Brampton follow the A689 to Alston. Turn left into Alston and take the first left at the top of the hill, the A689 to Nenthead, Stanhope and Durham. After 2.5 miles you will pass the Nent Hall Hotel on your right hand side, pass over the bridge and take the first left, follow uphill keeping right at the bend. After 1 mile Greenends is on the right hand side.
